Harmony Valley Gyros Recipe

We've taken this traditional Greek dish and made it a meatless recipe for everyone to enjoy. It's a healthy alternative to the original recipe and our HV Mix really brings the taste to life.

  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 package Harmony Valley Vegetarian Hamburger Mix
  • 1 lemon, thickly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil


  • Preheat oven to 375° F
  • Blend all of the spices together.
  • Add spices to the dry Harmony Valley Hamburger Mix.
  • Prepare the dry Harmony Valley Vegetarian mixture according to package instructions. Gently mix in the lemon pieces. Refrigerate until chilled (about 20 minutes). Add in the olive oil and mix to thoroughly incorporate. Remove the lemons.
  • On a baking sheet sprayed with cooking oil, pat out enough of the mixture to cover the sheet with 1/3 - ½ inch thickness.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until browned and baked through.
  • Let cool slightly, cut into 2 inch by 1 inch slices.
  • Serve as you would Gyro meat with Tzatziki sauce and sliced cucumbers.
